How It Works

Three Steps

1
Join the Merchant's Order
Sign up for the Merchant Pass ($99/year) or register free for pay-as-you-go licensing. Either way, your account activates immediately.
2
Build and sell
Create physical pieces from any patterns in your library and sell them however you like. Commissions, shops, events, online. Your merchant dashboard tracks everything.
3
Grow with us
Your public maker profile builds credibility with customers. Pass holders get the Merchant's Chambers for business support and a verified store link on their profile.
The Merchant Pass

What You Get

I
Commercial Pass: Get commercial license for all patterns you own. Without the Pass, every pattern you use commercially requires its own individual license purchase. The Pass covers all of them for a single yearly flat rate. Sell finished armor, costumes, and accessories — no per-build fees, no individual licenses to track.
II
The Merchant's Chambers. Private Discord channel with direct Q&A on commercial questions — pricing, quoting, commissions, selling at events, and the practical side of running a craft business.
III
Licensed Maker badge. An official verification badge for your shop, listings, booth signage, and anywhere you sell. Confirms you're an authorized commercial maker. Coming Soon
IV
Verified Maker profile page. A personal page on the Prince Armory Academy site confirming your active license status, with a link to your shop. Good for credibility and discoverability. Coming Soon
V
Periodic business newsletter. Rare, no-spam updates with personal tips on selling, pricing, and growing your craft business. Value only, no filler.

  • Use our patterns for small-batch runs at events, conventions, or to private clients
  • Offer custom builds where a Prince Armory pattern is the structural foundation
  • Advertise and display your work openly without licensing concerns
Not Covered
  • Reselling, sharing, or redistributing digital patterns, files, or course content in any form
  • Creating and selling competing patterns derived from our designs
  • Factory-scale manufacturing, third-party brand licensing, or mass production runs

The Merchant Pass covers physical, handmade builds within $10,000 of annual sales from our patterns. It's designed for individual artisans and small shops — not large teams or production lines.

Pay As You Go

Register for free and buy individual pattern licenses through your merchant dashboard as you need them. Same commercial rights, just applied per pattern instead of a blanket rate.

You still get a public maker profile and full access to the merchant dashboard. If you decide to upgrade to the Pass later, it covers everything from that point forward.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Immediately. Sign up for the Pass or register free, and your account is active right away. Individual pattern licenses are valid the moment the order completes.

Yes. While your Merchant Pass is active, it covers physical, handmade items created from any Prince Armory pattern you legitimately own, within the $10,000 annual sales scope.

The Pass ($99/year) covers every pattern you own under one license. Pay as you go lets you buy individual pattern licenses from your dashboard as needed. Both grant the same commercial rights for physical, handmade items. The Pass just removes the per-pattern overhead and includes extras like the Merchant's Chambers and a store link on your profile.

Work you created and sold while active remains covered. But you shouldn't produce or sell new commercial pieces after your license expires. Renew to continue, or contact us about a separate arrangement.

No. Both licensing paths cover only physical items you make by hand. Digital patterns, files, and course content may not be resold, shared, or redistributed in any form.

Guild membership (Squire, Knight, Noble) and the Merchant's Order serve different purposes. The Guild gives you community access, discounts, store credit, and premium content. The Merchant's Order gives you commercial rights to sell what you build. They can be held together, and many makers do both.

That's a good problem. The current licensing is designed for individual makers and small shops with teams of three or fewer. If you're scaling past that, contact us and we'll work out a custom arrangement. We'd rather help you grow than hold you back.

Yes, at any time from your merchant dashboard. The Pass takes effect immediately and covers every pattern you own from that point forward.
