   This is my 4th pattern from Prince Armory. The video showing the process was awesome. I was so glad the 2nd option of attaching the spaulders to the breastplate was offered. The original version with the strap would have not worked well for this design. With each piece I craft I learn more from the accompanying videos. Highly recommended!

   Pattern itself was relatively straightforward and easy to work with, though the video tutorial and Discord community are what really bump this site/pattern up to a 5 star rating, as that is where you can find the most help and information about order of operations, supplies, troubleshooting, and support. Would love to see more information about materials and hardware, as well as integration with other pieces of this set in the pattern, but not the worst stuff to figure out on one's own.
   I do recommend making a mockup first to check sizing, as 100% worked fine for me, though we had to bump it up to maybe 120% for a friend with larger shoulders, (and even at 100%, can make for a fun helm, as seen in the first pic).
   Made these in a 5/6oz veg-tan, and as this was my first real leatherworking project and I wanted to throw myself into the deep end of detailing, these took around 40 hours, though I suspect a simpler version without all the tooling would take a fraction of that.

   These are awesome pauldrons! I cut some round notches into the points, and added a wider section of leather under the arm to change it up a little, and to help fill in the bare space under my arms. I used Prince Armory patterns for the helmet, pauldrons, gorget, and sabotons in this suit.

   This was the hardest part of the armor set so far but oh man the results are speaking for themselves. The wet forming part is important specially for this part. Having a good knowledge also of the different size of leather (oz.) is helpful also. Too thin and this project will not look as good as you hoped. Too think and you are opening a can or worms. (specially when using double caps rivet. Beside all that if you are ready to follow the amazing free tutorial offered well this will be an amazing adventure. Worth every pennies and sweat. For more mobility I did a modification and copied Japanese attachement armors by adding two holes and passing a a leather lacet instead of a belt strap.

   I absolutely love this pattern. I've been a big fan of the fantasy armor patterns and this one is no difference. Watching the YouTube video makes this design very intuitive and easy! Additionally this pattern allows for a ton of improvisation which I think is great!
