The lesson is the advanced content for the Berserker Helmet tutorial which is focused on teaching individuals how to create a helmet inspired by the manga and anime series, “Berserk,” through the use of specialized tools and techniques. The primary topic covered in this lesson is how to achieve the tooling effects presented in the build as well as the complex shaping and wet-forming. This lesson will be a pre-requisite to the more advanced builds later in the series.

  1. If these 24 videos are only about the helmet why do I have to buy the $ 300 bundle for the whole suit to watch them?

Just let me buy these videos seperately since you already decided to cut the shaping out of the youtube video.

    1. I’m not sure I understand the nature of your question. You’re quite free to buy whatever you’d like, the helmet is available separately in this case. The helmet videos are only part of the videos that are or will be available with the full suit. The bundle is meant for those wanting to build the complete set and of course it includes the extended helmet videos. And yes, our advanced lessons come with additional content not available on YouTube, I don’t think there’s anything controversial here.

    1. Best way to scale patterns is by using the tile large pages option in the PDF reader app. Learn more about this in the getting started section, our faq, and any of our beginner and intermediate video series. To determine fit, understand that most designs are targeted at an ‘average build’ for a person 6′ give or take a few inches in either direction. The designs are generally adjustable so there is some healthy wiggle room but try to scale according to height first. If you have a larger frame you will want to consider extending the sides of some of the patterns. Always a good idea to make a paper or foam mockup if you want a perfect fit. There is a video that talks about this in our beginner content.

    1. Additional resources are being added all the time. In this case to respond to your inquiry there will be a large index of tool and material recommendations. I try not lock in any one tool for a particular project, there are many ways to achieve the same or similar effects. My point is that I’m trying to make it so people don’t feel like they have to get every specific tool I use in my projects.
