Latest from the Academy: $8K Editing PC + Elven Lord Breastplate
The past couple of weeks have been full of new releases at the Academy, and we’ve got two videos on our youtube channel. Each one highlights the balance of craftsmanship, creativity, and technology that drives everything we do.
Video 1: The Ultimate Editing PC Build (Art Meets Tech)
We recently unveiled our most ambitious build yet, an $8,000+ editing rig designed not only for performance but also as a canvas for artistry. In this tutorial, we walk through how a high-powered PC can be transformed into something more than hardware. From custom overlays and dragon-inspired motifs to engraved panels and lighting effects, it’s a project where technology meets the design language of our fantasy armor work. The end result isn’t just a tool for editing future Academy videos, it’s a functional piece of art.
Why This Matters?
Here at the Academy, our projects are about more than just the build itself. They’re about pushing boundaries, whether that’s in technology, crafting, or teaching others how to combine skills in new ways. This PC isn’t just for show, it’s going to power the editing of upcoming Academy tutorials, multi-camera shoots, and even new 3D design projects we’re stepping into.
And yes, there’s already talk about Ashley’s future build, so stay tuned for that!
Video 2: Crafting the Elven Lord Leather Breastplate
Our latest leatherworking video dives into the creation of an Elven Lord Leather Breastplate. This tutorial explores shaping, tooling, embossing, and finishing techniques that elevate simple materials into something regal and battle-ready. It’s a perfect example of how timeless handcrafting methods can bring fantasy designs to life, piece by piece.
What’s Next?
We’re not slowing down. Coming up, we’ll be revealing new Dragon Armor–themed projects that push our designs even further, taking cues from the spines, scales, and silhouettes of mythic creatures. Alongside that, we’ll continue blending traditional armor-making with modern fabrication tools like laser cutters and 3D printers. Whether it’s wearable armor or high-performance machines, our goal remains the same: to create, to teach, and to inspire.
Stay tuned for the next release, it’s going to be one of our most exciting builds yet.
