Merchant Pass & Membership Benefits

Commercial use, support, and recognition

The Merchant's Pass is meant to simplify and streamline the commercial use and licensing of our designs so you don't have to worry about keeping track of your sales of your creations made from our designs. It's also a way to acknowledge and reward

You can:
  • Sell finished armor and related pieces as part of your commissions or shop.
  • Use our patterns for small-batch runs sold online, at events, or to private clients.
  • Offer custom builds where a Prince Armory pattern is the structural foundation.
  • Show and advertise your work openly without worrying if you are allowed to sell it.
You can’t:
  • Resell, share, or redistribute our digital patterns, files, or course content.
  • Create and sell competing patterns based directly on our designs.
  • Use this pass for factory-scale manufacturing or third-party brand licensing runs.
Business support & recognition:
  • Support on pricing, quoting, and practical workflow questions.
  • Official Merchant’s Guild / Maker’s Pass badge for listings and sites.
  • Eligibility for a public directory of licensed Prince Armory makers.
  • Planned specialty resources, touch marks, and collaboration pilots as the Guild grows.

The Merchant Pass is intended for small-scale artisan production and covers your physical hand made builds but not for large teams or mass production.

Volume, Thresholds & Partnering at Scale

The Merchant Pass is designed to comfortably cover the output of most individual makers and small shops. We do not ask you to track each sale or buy licenses per build. Should you reach a threshold where your output of our designs exceeds reasonable thresholds (such as teams of more than 3 or batch production runs, just reach out to negotiate a custom arrangement.

When to reach out:
  • If a significant part of your catalog or yearly revenue is built on our patterns.
  • If you’re planning large production runs, retail distribution, or licensing deals.
We're here to help you grow:
  • Volume pricing isn't here to tax your success. If you are already heavily using our designs, you're exactly the kind of maker we want to nurture and partner with. We can collaborate more deeply and offer additional ways to win together through special promotions, affiliate codes or coupons with your finished products, or helping with social media collaborations, networking, and other exposure opportuniites

Questions & Answers

📜 Does this cover patterns I already own?

Yes. While your membership is active, the Merchant Pass applies to physical, handmade items created from any Prince Armory patterns you legitimately own under your account or business, within the small-batch intent described above.

What happens if my membership lapses?

Work you created and sold while your membership was active remains allowed. However, you should not continue producing or selling new items based on our patterns under the Merchant Pass once your membership expires, unless you renew or have a separate written agreement with us.

📁 Does this let me resell patterns or files?

No. The Merchant Pass only covers physical items. You still may not resell, share, or redistribute our digital patterns, files, or course content in any form where others can extract or reuse them.

🤝 How do I talk to you about higher-volume use?

If you’re doing especially high volume, planning retail distribution, or want a deeper partnership, contact us through the Academy contact channels. Share a brief overview of your business, products, and volumes so we can explore an arrangement that makes sense for both sides.
