The pattern includes two options for front and back skirting. This pattern can also be adapted for use in other scale armor components. It is a very simple project that is visually impressive and an excellent way to utilize small scrap that might otherwise go to waste. A strap end punch is recommended to make construction faster, however hand cut and laser cut scales are also perfectly viable options.
The pattern can be scaled when printing to accommodate various sizes, just make sure the base grid will line up with the width of the scales. See the tutorial for more details.
