Used this pattern for my son’s Uruk Hai costume. Easy to follow once I figured out how to print. Bought a few other patterns to try.

I started working with leather December of 2024, learned the basics, and then started on this armor set in March. The video tutorials are very well made and I was able to finish the entire set in 5 months. If someone wants to learn how to make armor I recommend this armor set to start with.

It was my second armor project. It was great having a tested and proven pattern as the basis. The finished armor is super comfortable to wear and quite flexible, which is a huge benefit.
And it was quite nice to have an alternative design in the pattern. I had problems with figuring out the right size in which to print the pattern. In the end i printed it 3 times and built 3 paper mock ups of it...so some more help or reference points for figuring out the right size in which to print it would be great. And i wouldn't mind some suggestions on the pattern on where to place the buckles.
The videos were a great additional help in bringing the armor to life. I added a little twist to the design by adding some etched brass plates on the front and a way to attach a cape on the back. It was quite fun to get creative with it 🙂
